Posted on: November 7, 2015

The 2015-2016 season of the Seattle Symphony is well underway, and this year’s lineup looks to be just as exciting as those from previous years. As usual, we have a variety of impressive concerts to choose from, including classical works, famed concertos, and renowned guest artists. With so many fantastic options at our disposal, deciding which concert to attend can really be a challenge.  Fortunately, by offering the Create Your Own Series package, the Seattle Symphony has made it just a bit easier on us.

Create Your Own Series is a subscription-based feature that allows you to choose three concerts that you would like to attend from this season’s program. It’s a way to give yourself a musical experience that is perfectly tailored to your preferences and schedule.

Other perks that are only available to subscribers include:

·         Free ticket exchange

·         Free one-time seating upgrade coupon

·         Free lost ticket replacement

·         Priority access to pre-sale opportunities on future events

It’s guaranteed to be money well spent, and we hope that you’ll make it out to support and enjoy this local gem at some point this season. So, without further ado, here are our top three picks for the Seattle Symphony’s Create Your Own Series package:

Holiday Pops

Maybe it’s the cooler weather that has us feeling a bit nostalgic for everyone’s favorite time of year, but we simply couldn’t pass up this concert when we happened upon it in the program for the 2015-2016 season.

Prepare to be charmed into the holiday spirit with this all-new program featuring Broadway star Capathia Jenkins and the renowned Tony DeSare.  They’ll be performing the best of your holiday playlist favorites, but the real showstopper is sure to be the Seattle Seahawks’ drumline with their rendition of “Little Bolero Boy”.

The Midtown Men

This high-octane quartet truly is a must-see.  The Midtown Men is a group of 4 of the original cast members of Jersey Boys, a musical masterpiece that took Broadway by storm.  They’ve been touring the country, performing all of their favorite hits from the 1960’s, and we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen to make our town one of their stops along the way.

In their performance at the Seattle Symphony, you can expect to hear The Midtown Men perform songs by The Beatles, The Rascals, Motown, The Four Seasons, and more.

The Symphony will be joined by the ARC Youth Dance Company in a performance that brings a menagerie of animals to life through a combination of music and dance.
