I am happy to have recently closed on this amazing Seattle property for my clients at $9,000,000.
This upscale penthouse in the extremely luxurious Escala condominium building inspired the apartment featured in Fifty Shades of Grey, one of Seattle’s most iconic novel and movie series.
Taking up half of the 30th-floor, this penthouse boasts a whopping 5,170 square feet of space surrounded by walls of windows and a wraparound deck, providing breathtaking views of the glimmering city and the Puget Sound. Perched above it all, formal and informal spaces afford all one needs for a complete in-city experience with media room, chef’s kitchen, and sitting area. The luxurious master suite is complete with floor-to-ceiling windows and southwest views of the city, water, and sunset—even from the tub.
Building amenities at the Escala include a 24-hour concierge, a spa, a lap pool, a gym, a yoga studio, a theater, and a catering kitchen.
Although the film didn’t actually use the penthouse’s interior as a shooting location, it used exterior and view shots from the roof of Escala. But after taking a look at these interior photos below, you’ll be able to see how it inspired a tale of an impossibly wealthy gentleman.
