There have been a lot of articles about how Seattle’s market has cooled faster than any other city in the U.S. This may seem pretty concerning, but given how high our median home prices are here compared to other less expensive areas, it’s natural that we experience more dramatic highs and lows than those markets.

Although median sales prices have dropped, they’re still higher now than they were a year ago, to put things in perspective. For buyers who are concerned about the high interest rates, you should also consider that prices are lower than they were during the frenzied, bidding-war period at the beginning of the year.
